    The old knights hall, located in the Old Town. Perfect surroundings, perfect location.

    Great views, and right in the heart of the Marketplace. Sat. morning before we left, were able to step out into market and select beautiful blumens, proscuitto, and cheese for roadtrip.

    • Only experienced dining which we have done quite often Great staff, food, one of these days we may stay the night.

    This hotel is a sight in itself-and it is an icon of Heidelberg. Whether you stay here or not, I am sure you won't miss it. It is located just across from the very interesting Cathedral of the Holy Ghost, on 1 of the city's main squares and at the beginning of the city's pedestrian shopping street, the "Hauptstrasse". The facade of the building is strikingly beautiful, done in the Renaissance style. With a history of over 400 years, it is one of the very few nobleman's houses that has survived the ravages of time and war. This building which was constrcuted in 1592, is now under historical protection.

    I am happy to say that the rooms have been modified and renovated and are much more comfortable than they were 400 years ago. All rooms have cable TV, minibar, and direct-dial phones. The rooms are beautifully furnished, and again, the location is incredible. Breakfast is included in the price.

    Very very nice, great breakfasts but try to confirm a room in the front part (the old mansion) rather than the rear.

    Loud Church bells across the cobblestone street peal all night long. We timed one to be over twenty-one minutes long. Stay at the Hollanderhoff, two blocks down.

    A strange WW II type elevator. Finding your room is a harrowing experience.
