Queens Hotel Karlsruhe

I have been here several times. It is ideally located between the station and the Marketplatz (where the Christmas market is).
The rooms are good and clean. Very helpful staff.

Breakfast not included ( 19 eur). We took breakfast there one stay. And I must admit it was very good. They had everything but I don't a 19 eur for breakfast. On our last stay we had breakfast in town for around 6 eur.

If you don't like the noise of trams don't stay on the frontside of the hotel. The noise is not bad, not at all, they have double glazing, but you will hear it. For me it is part of the charm and the knowledge that I am next to a tramstop.

Nice bar, with an extensive cocktail menu. Yumm

Unique Quality: If you are in the front you have some sort of view on the Zoo. But not the interesting part I am afraid. Don't worry you will not hear the animals.

Directions: Between the station and the marketplatz.

The Queens hotel is situated about 3 tram stops from the Marktplatz and is just back from the road so there is no traffic noise. (This is helpful after a long VT meeting)
Rooms are very spacious and are provided with tea and coffee making facilites. Large TV in the room aswell as a trouser press (Like I was even thinking of using it).
Bathroom was a good size with an excellent shower too. Towels changed every day. They even provided a phone charger as I had forgotten to take mine.
Tram stop is outside the hotel and you can take any tram to the Main railway station in one direction or the Marktplatz in the other.

Unique Quality: They even provide umbrellas for you to use in the case of rain!!

This 4**** hotel is one of Karlsruhes best accommodations. It is located opposite of the zoo and the municipal garden and only a few steps away of the convention center.

Directions: The hotel is halfway between the main train station and the marketplace. Tram station 'Augartenstrasse' is directly in front of the hotel. You can get there by tram line 2 and suburban trains S1, S4, S11 or S41
