Walk Along the Waterfront
by VDElvis
Konstanz is right on the Bodensee where it flows into the Rhine River, so there is a nice, long waterfront. Just walking along it is a nice way to spend part of a day. Starting in the old part of the city, there is a marina, waterfont restaurants, cafes and bier gartens. Across the bridge in Petershausen, you can either walk along the Rhine, or heading east, a beautiful walk along the beach of the lake.
The vegetables Island Reichenau
by queenminka
It is called so as comparison to the Flower Island of Mainau because at the Reichenau is a very special very local climate which makes it predispose for culturing vegetables. The culturing goes back for 1300 years, when the first monastery was founded. Three Romanian churches, showing the conventual architecture from the 9th to the 12th century, and the old cultural landscape convinced the UNESCO to give the Island of Reichenau the state of a world heritage.
