I was fortunate enough to have been invited to stay at my friend Jelena's flat while I was there.
Great place. 2 bedrooms, livingroom, cool kitchen and bathroom, all nestled on the 3rd floor so the walk up wasn't a killer on those hazy-headed nights. The only bizarre things were the tiny water heaters in the kitchen and bathroom. No 20 minute hot showers here, that's for sure.
Just outside the main door and attached to the wall was a cigarette machine which I found totally convenient. I'm terrible at remembering to buy extra cigs before a long night of drinking, so as long as I remembered to save a 5 DM coin for the trip home I was able to drink as much as I wanted without the fear of waking up in the morning without my little "West" friends.
The flat was also next door to a Sex Shop which didn't sell much except some crappy mags, sticky videos and a bunch of big plastic thingies which, quite frankly, did nothing but emasculate me just by looking at them.
