Italians ... ohhhhhh ... italians !
This pizzeria is one of the most funny thing I've ever seen around the world :-)))
To understand this you should know that Italy is one of the few countries having a strong "black" market for design stuff, fashion & so on ... we're invaded by fakes, ok ?
So, this logo you see in the pic is exactly a logo used by a famous underwear brand !!!
And they simply copied for this pizzeria !!!!
Meersburg in Land Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany
Meersburg is on the Bodensee (Lake Constance) and you could almost say there are two towns, one above the other. The old town is up the hill and there is a lively market on the square. You can visit the old castle while you are on the hill and the views over the lake are stunning.
Then walk down to the lower town and find a nice restaurant along the lake and enjoy swans, sailboats and a lovely breeze.
This is one of the beautiful sailboats we watched as we ate lunch beside the Bodensee in Meersburg. The sailboats are out on the lake and the ducks and swans are right beneath you. There are even palm trees growing here. It's a little tropical paradise in northern Europe.
These are the lower streets of Meersburg. I was standing in a park by the castle on the hill above the lower town. You can walk up the hill via street or if you want a shortcut, there are stairs up and down.
When you are at the bottom, you look up at the very imposing castle. Either way it is beautiful.
Altes Schloss (Old Castle), Meersburg
"Altes Schloss (Old Castle) Tower"
Part of the original castle founded in 628 by King Dagobert 1 has a tower room that is devoted to heraldry. Shields and coats of arms dating from the 12th to 18th centuries are on display, as well as two rare targets used for tournament-training in the 12th century.
"My Knight in Shining Armor"
My knight in shining armor was found basking in the sun - we have alot in common. Coats of arms of all the generations who have lived in this castle are on display at the entrance passage.
"The Hall of Arms"
This area of the castle dates back to the 16th century and was formerly used as a practice room for fencing and other military exercises. It now holds suits of armour from 1570 to 1680 as well as swords, daggers, and halberds from 1400 - 1800. Also on the walls are portraits of famous knights.
Through the leaded glass windows of the castle is the Bodensee - a glorious sight on this sunny day with the sailboats adding to the view. The castle was used as a summer residence by the bishops of Konstanz until 1526, when they moved in permanently and lived until the mid-18th century.
