Looking for accommodation for 6 to 8 weeks

by Vita500

Hello fellow VTers,

I'm looking for possibilities to find accommodation for one person in Stuttgart for a period of six to eight weeks as of mid June 2008 (next month). Budget is around 500 to 600 Euro per month.

I would highly appreciate any ideas, tips, recommendations of how to find something suitable!

Thanks a million!

Robert

Have you checked this site:
http://www.mitwohnzentrale.de/index.php?sprache=en
They offer short-term rentals.
Good luck.

Thanks a lot!
Mitwohnzentrale actually doesn't have any offers in Stuttgar but I liked the other two websites. I now contacted them with my inquiry... let's hope they have something suitable.

Herzlichen Dank!

Gruss,
Robert

Es lohnt sich, immer wieder mal bei der Mitwohnzentrale nachzusehen, weil immer wieder neue Objekte eingestellt werden.
Viel Glück.

The Königstrasse. This is the main pedestrian-only street that runs through Central Stuttgart. Everything is on this street. Restaraunts, shops, major Department stores,Cinemas,etc...
On a Saturday afternoon it is a great place for a promenade and to people watch.

Titisee - Black Forest.

by keeweechic

Titisee is found right where Germany, France and Switzerland meet. The scenic highlight is undoubtedly the fantastic setting of Titisee lake and its crystal-clear waters. There is some great shopping, if not very touristy, shopping in Titisee.

Great Greek!

by tericee about Dionyssos im Hirsch Weinstube

The best Greek food I've had in Germany is at a place on a little cobblestone road in Moehringen, which is a suburb of Stuttgart. Every time I take friends or family to this place, they rave about every dish. No matter what else I eat, I always try to have an order of Saganaki, which is fried cheese, Greek style. Yum yum yum!

When my brothers and sister in law were visiting last Christmas, their favorite dish was the octopus appetizer (#214, I believe). If you're into octopus, you shouldn't miss it!

Family Fun, this town has it all.

by seoulgirl

Look at this website for this small town outside of Stuttgart, about 1 hour south. They have an Amusement park, a waterfall, hot pools, caves to explore, and more! Super for a day trip too.

Weindorf Wine Festival Stuttgart

by seoulgirl

This Winefest is in the middle of Stuttgart. It has alot of food and wine, of course. Different vendors set up outdoor restaurants to eat and drink at. Get there early to get a seat. The 50+ crowd really swarms this one around 5. Great food and drink!!! Go!
