Wasen by Beograd
Before I came to Germany to live, Octoberfest in Munich was the only beer festival I knew of here. But I've been told that Stuttgart has one that is as good and popular as the Munich one. In here, it is Wasen. What I also learned is that it's not a beer festival but a celebration of harvest just with a lot of beer thrown in! Everything is decorated in the theme of harvest with various vegetables, autumn colors and, naturally, livestock that is carried over from ancient times as a celebration of life. You have pleanty of things to do here, but I suggest that you come in day time if you are with children because it gets very crazy and rowdy. Predominantly in a good way but non the less lot's of drunk people falling down. If you are not with kids, NIGHT TIME for sure!!!!!!!
In the picture you can see one of many tents where you can listen to traditional German music, have traditional southern German food (Schwabische and Bayernische with some austrian thrown in) and of course, drink traditional BIER (it's beer for you only english speaking ppl :)
