Hilton Garden Inn Stuttgart Neckarpark

We stayed here twice within a month for a total of three nights; both times we found this hotel to be very pleasant. The modern style building is located in between the Mercedes Arena and the Porsche Arena as well as across the street from the fairgrounds, making it a perfect spot if you are attending events in these locations. For us, we were visiting the Frühlingsfest (spring festival) at the fairgrounds – an easy five-minute walk from the hotel.

Check-in was quick and the staff was friendly and helpful. Each time our room faced the Porsche Arena – not a great view but the area doesn’t lend itself to good views. Our room was very clean and came with a king bed, desk, and en suite bath with a walk-in shower (no climbing over a tub here!). As HiltonHonors members, our room came with free wi-fi and free buffet breakfast, which had a huge selection of just about anything you could want.

There is a parking garage by the hotel and it costs €16/night. However, on slower days it would be rather easy to find free parking on the street in front of the hotel. Because we came on special events, we just parked in the garage since street parking was pretty full. On our first visit there was a football (soccer) match going on next door at the Mercedes Arena so it was rather crowded when we arrived to check-in. Fortunately, the hotel was thoughtful enough to have sent us an email warning us of the event and that the street in front of the hotel would be closed, providing directions to the rear entrance to the parking garage.

Despite the events, the hotel was very quiet and we were able to sleep well. My only complaint would be the bed on that first stay – the mattress was terrible and my back was really hurting by morning. But our second stay was much better so it may be just that particular bed.

Our room rate varied between €75-100/night; this was higher than normal due to the festival and other events occurring in the area. But we wanted to stay here because it was within walking distance to our planned activity.

We would definitely stay here again should we return to the Stuttgart area.

Unique Quality: Located in quiet part of town. Good Sauna.
In the morning workers drive their mercedes´s to the factory. fun to see.
