 We stayed for a weekend, 2 nights at Holiday Inn Express Stuttgart Echterdingen. We had the 2 for 1 night deal and paid 39Euros per night.

Location: The location is close to Stuttgart airport, there is a shuttle buss from the hotel, which cost 4Euros a person. It is about 400m to the S bahn, where you can go by train to Stuttgart. The location is not really convenient if you want to spend a lot of time in Stuttgart (including late evenings), but for the price of the hotel, you can take this into account. We took a taxi from Stuttgart city centre to the hotel at night, it was 23 Euros.
The hotel is furthermore located in an unattractive part of Echterdingen. But shops and places for a snack are within 100 meters. Also a good location in case you are by car, it is close to the highway.

Room: Room and hotel, super, super clean. The hotel is very new and you can see that. It is a holiday inn express, so do not expect and luxury in your room, but there is everything you need, including lcd tv. Nice decoration, enough space for 2 persons. Really, you do not need or wish anything additional. The whole hotel from reception to breakfast room is very clean.

Staff: Very polite, very helpful. From cleaning till reception, we only met friendly and helpful people. Compliments!!!

Breakfast: Breakfast is included in Holiday Inn Express hotels. One would expect nothing special but this one was really super! Great selection, clean, good taste, lots of food and good quality. Again, compliments!

Around: Obviously Stuttgart is nearby and a great place to see. Dont forget to check out the tv tower (entrance 5E) and the Altstadt. Furthermore, the nightlife is great in Stuttgart.
For shoppers, go to Metzingen, a place build full of outlets. Very good deals can be made there, especially in the outlet of the outlets, the Boss one.

For 39Euros a night we thought we had one of the best deals ever!
