Can someone please tell me how much does the bus ticket from Stuttgart to Frankfurt cost? I would be most grateful if someone answers soon.
Best regards from Croatia!

You won't find a bus for this route.

If you want it cheap you could stick to local trains.

... and select as means of transport "only local transport" if you want to use the cheaper regional trains.

pozdrav,

it (=international train ticket valid on all, but ICE trains) will cost 36 Euro if you buy at any HZ station. Locally it can vary. It will be rouhly the same, for IC and 52 Euro for ICE. but with intl. ticket you will have the advantage to use either Rarmstadt or Karlsruhe as you like. It is also valid for 2 month. And if there are any questions, the people at HZ counter are speaking your language. I would try to avoid ICE for such a shrt distance: the surcharge (16 Euro) is almost as high as the half of the ticket and it's only 17 minutes faster.

There are IC trains at: almost every 2 hour and without obligatory seat reservatin (=no hidden cost): 8:05, 10:05, 12:05, etc.

If there would be any bus or anything similar the price won't be any different.

Travel Tips for Stuttgart

Deposit on glasses or other dishes

by seoulgirl

When you order a beer at festivals it will be served in a real glass. They will charge you for the glass. You then return the glass when you finished to get your money back. It's call a Pfand. Usually it's 1 euro but German litre glasses are usually 2 euro. The glasses at the Christmas market were 1 euro and were so cute I kept many of them. That is acceptable. Wine glasses at the wine fests are all unique and fun to collect too. I paid a Pfand for a plate once also.

Ticket Automat

by bugulma

It's the ticket automat for bus, S-Bahn and U-Bahn. Sometimes the bus stops haven't it, in this case you can buy ticket in the bus driver. So you should enter the number of the zone or the number of your stop (stops list is on the automat). It's possible to economize a little bit if to buy 4-journey ticket. You enter number of the stop/zone and then push a blue button "4-mitfahrkarte".

Curry Wurst und Pommes

by Schnecki

When in Stuttgart and around, try some of this stuff. It 's nothing more than a grilled traditional sausage with tomato sauce sprinkled with curry powder and french fries on the side but for "Schwaben" this dish is probably equivalent to a meat pie for Aussies, so give it a go!My partner was born here so this is always the first thing he will eat when we are in Stuttgart.

Neues Schloss

by Bigs

The new castle is situated right in the city center, in minutes distance to the main station. Nowadays it's home of the government of Baden-Würtemberg and so it's not unusual that the square in front of the castle is used as a parking, which isn't great for picture taking really....the parks in the back of the castle are nicer.

Domkirche St.Eberhard

by bugulma

The Catholic Church is situated in the center of the city, in Konigstrasse. It's vey bright inside, the only one that has white color inside (in general, I saw dark colors in other churchs). I don't know why I didn't venture to get photo inside: there were much praying people and I didn't want to disturb them.
