1A Apartment Guesthouse and Hotel Berlin

When we arrived the room wasn't quite ready for us, even though we'd told them we'd be arriving a couple of hours before the check in time and they'd said it wouldn't be a problem. The lady, however, was really nice and she quickly got our room cleaned up and we were in the room in about an hour.
The apartment was easy to find and is only a 5 minute walk from the U-Bahn station Eberswalder Strasse on the east side of Berlin. The surrounding area is Prenzlaur Berg and has plenty of bars/clubs/restaurants near by or it's 5 minutes on the U-Bahn to Alexanderplatz, a more central location for siteseeing and entertainment. The location is really good. If you want to get back from Hackescher Markt late at night it's only 7 euros in a cab.

Unique Quality: Our room slept 4, it had a double bed and a double sofa bed. All were really comfortable. It was warm and we could control the temperature of the heating which was good. Our beds were made for us every day, which we wasn't expecting. Soft towels were provided and the bathroom was tiny but had a really powerful, hot shower and underfloor heating, it was perfect for what we needed.
The entry system was really safe, we had 2 keys between 4 of us and they used an entry code system so we came and went as we pleased through our own door, without seeing anyone on reception.
There was also free internet access in reception and a tea and coffee machine.
The staff there were really flexible and let us leave our luggage after the check out time on our last day to save us from carrying it around with us.
Overall it was everything we needed for a short stay in Berlin.
