Aparotel
I liked the place very much. First, it is next to Tegel airport (5 stops by bus, around 7-9 minutes), the second it is just next to Charlottenburg palace that I liked much :-), third is the room has a little kitchen where we could cook ourselves. Besides there is food shop in 2 minutes by walk. The U-Bahn station is in 5 minutes around and the post office in 2 minutes. We have Twin room for EUR 48.50 per night (without breakfast) with windows to the yard.
It seems one of the strategy aims of the hotel is to have Russian-speaking personal (every girl we met as receptionist spoke Russian) and we met 2-3 Russian couples as guests per day in the yard or lift or reception. In spite of different stories in Western newspapers and TV about Russians I didn't see heavy drunk people or didn't been disturbed by roaring :-))
A bit about room: it has tv, big and comfortable wardrobe. I read some complaints in the forums that the shower place is too small but for me it was completely ok.
