    We really liked this place. We stayed for four nights, and we took a package they had that included a bottle of Deutscher Sekt (which we later found in the grocery market for four Euros) and a three day travel card for the Bus and U/S bahn. Other than that it was 99 Euro a night.

    It was very comfortable, clean, lime green, and quiet. The staff was friendly and helpful, and we loved the location as well.

    We got bathrobes and slippers, and the bathroom was very modern. The whole place was modern. Apparently there is a gym, but we didn't have time to relax there.

    My one complaint isn't really a complaint. Breakfast was not included, and since it was our first hotel, we didn't miss it. The rest of our trip had it included and the breakfasts were always so amazing!

  • Directions: Take the U bahn (U1) to Uhlandstrasse. It's just two blocks from there. It's walkable from the Hbf. We walked it with a rolling suitcase and a couple of backpacks.

    • We came for 3 nights over Easter and couldn't fault the hotel. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, The room was really big - think we got upgraded. Everything was clean and comfortable, the beds were a good sizes and the bathroom was sparking! And as it was Easter we got left little chocolate eggs on the pillows! There was also a free safe in the room and a kettle with teas and coffee. The hotel does the little things like lend you an umbrella if it's raining, it's these little touches that make a difference.
    The road that the hotel is on doesn't have too many eating or drinking places on it but you are a 5 minute walk to Ku-damm which has plenty of choice. There is also entrance to a shopping center - Kudamm Karree opposite the hotel which has shops, several traditional style bars and The Story of Berlin is there too along with the nuclear bunker which you can tour. The hotel is approx 5-10 minutes from the nearest U bahn station and about 15 mins from Zoo bahnhoff which we arrived in to from the airport and took a taxi to the hotel which cost about 5 euros.
    we got a great deal on the room through the hotels website. Although it didn't come with breakfast there were plenty of places to eat at nearby.
    The hotel wasn't as in your face (with the green carpets and Andy Warhol pics etc) as I expected and over all we had a great time.

    Our room at the Art'otel was by far the best and it is a good hotel. The rooms and beds are big and it's very clean. The Hotel is in a good location, about a 10 minute walk to the Zoo station and one street over there is Kurfurstendamm Strasse. Staff are very helpful.
    The downside is that it's 110 euros a night without a breakfast which costs 18 euros a person. Another downside was the key card to get into the room was very confusing. I did not figure it out but my wife did.
    The pic is of me and Franco, the waiter at the italian restaurant down the street. He's from Napoli and he's a Milan fan. I know this because I insinuated that he was a Napoli fan and a Maradonna fan and he said no he was a Milan fan.
