I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for accommodation in Berlin. The location was first class - just 3-5 minutes walk from the Zoo station - the whole city was within easy reach. Facilities were excellent - the room small but adequate - private bathroom with bath and shower - very clean. The beds were extremely comfortable - with quality bed linen. We had a room at the back and it was very quiet - although on a main road it was also quiet at the front.
The restaurant served very good food - fairly priced - and with excellent staff.
There is also a bar in the reception area, which was very comfortable and reasonably priced.
Overall this is a very good hotel - and the breakfast (which was included in the price) was outstanding. Whatever your taste - there was something for everyone. It would take too long to list everything on the buffet menu - but believe me - whatever your taste you would be adequately served. From fruit, to cooked English breakfast, to muesli, cheese, cold cuts, yoghurt, croissants (all kinds) - the list was endless - excellently presented.
The only thing that marred our stay was the fact that the hotel had a private dinner dance on New Year's Eve - the restaurant had also been fully booked. We did feel a little put out that no one had informed us of this, so that we could have made other arrangements for dinner (we had dined in the hotel restaurant each night of our stay).
Overall an excellent hotel - and we will definately stay again when in Berlin.
