The leaflet in the apartment mentioned that the owners wanted to offer a good service/ stay for a good price in a centrally located place. He was clearly against the high prices the ordinary hotels asked their guests.
I rather much liked the "freedom" of an apartment. No rush for breakfast in the morning, no reception desk. There was a number to call when we arrived. The owner would meet you and lead you to your apartment, show you the apartment, receive his payment and leave. We could call if we needed something.
The apartment had a bathroom with shower and toilet. Plenty of space for women to put her toiletries on and to dry towels.
It had a kitchen with coffeemachine, waterboiler, microwave, kitchen ware etc.
And an extra long bed for the tall people among us.
It was partly stocked with teabags, coffee, dishwashing liquid, toiletpaper and sugar, we think left behind from previous people.
It is located in the area south of the Tiergarten so easy accesable for all kinds of public transport.
The neighbourhood was lively with lots of small shops, pubs, bookstores, a supermarket and restaurants.
