Easy starting point for exploring, near S/U Bahn
As a first-timer in Berlin (Sept 2011), I had no difficulty going to this hotel using the public transpo. I just asked for directions from the TI desk in airport - just rode the bus and then rode on the S/U bahn system....the station to go off at is at the Gesundbrunnen Center which is actually just 4 stops to downtown. Walk outside the mall and look for the Holiday Inn...you have to walk past the main entrance of the Holiday Inn as the City Light Hotel is behind it...after you pass the HI entrance, turn right on the next road and hiotel is across what appears to be a rock-climbing station.
Easy check-in and front desk was friendly and answered my questions well. The room was clean and I was surpised there were two small twin beds + a "bunk" bed good for two more people! Definitely, this room can have a family of four, but I was alone at the time. The bathroom was clean with quick controls for hot and cold water.
Breakfast was fantastic in a very very spacious hall. And the wi-fi was free and easy to connect to.
Over-all a great stay and would not mind staying here again during next visit to Berlin.

Best value for money
Super hotel for city vacation, room large and clean. Free internet not high speed, but FREE. Breakfast with more choice than i expected in a bright room or outside in summer.
