The Courtyard line of hotels may put some people off by thinking that this one is just another American style hotel in Berlin. However, this one has a comfortable European styling to it. I was quite surprised by how comfortable the room was. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about the city and the landmarks surrounding the hotel.
The hotel is located a few blocks off the main street which kept it quiet at night. Don't be put off by the visual distances from a map. it is only a few minutes walk to Checkpoint Charlie and a few more to the Brandenburg Gate. Most of the touristy landmarks are within 2-3 kilometers (about a mile and a half) of the hotel. For a couple of the museums the hotel called us a taxi, which only took 5 - 10 minutes to get there.
The hotels restaurant puts on a great breakfast buffet in the mornings...a bit pricey at 16 euros but the food and the presentation was quite worth it. The lunch and dinner menu are reasonable at 9 to 15 euros per entree and have a good variety of items.
Unique Quality: If you get a room and the Axel-Springer strasse side of the hotel, make sure to look down at the street. You will notice that there is a brick line running on the far side of the street and cutting across the corner of the sidewalk. This is the path of the Berlin Wall when it was standing.

Located in Spittelmarkt
The Courtyard Marriott is located just a few minutes from the Spittelmarkt Underground station. It is on a quiet street called Axel-Springer that is also where part of the Wall ran along. The hotel is located in what was East Berlin. You can follow the route of the Wall from the hotel to Checkpoint Charlie and onwards.

Information of hotel near love parade

ok.. i'm going to be getting pretty smashed while i'm in Berlin this summer at the love parade and i want a hotel that is really close to the center of the party'ing going on in Berlin.. Does anyone know if any of these hotels are near there:

Holiday Inn Berlin-Humboldt Park (this one seems to be where the center of love parade is.. can anyone verify this?)

Love Parade is held on the "Strasse des 17. Juni" in the mid of the Tiergarten park. Thus no hotels directly there.
Final of the Loveparade is at the Siegessäule (Victory Column).

Strasse des 17. Juni is between the S-Bahn stops Tiergarten and Unter den Linden.
The Siegessäule is in the middle of the Tiergarten park. The Tiergarten park is approx. 3,5 km long.
Courtyard Berlin Mitte (City Centre) is the closest of the 3 hotels you have listed. It's between the S-Bahn stops Anhalter Bhf. and Jannowitzbrücke. Next to the U-Bahn (line U2) stop Spittelmarkt (not on the above but the below map).

You can spot the Humboldthain in the top of the first map. Albeit the hotel is closer to the stop Gesundbrunnen which is no more on this map.

even if it doesn't take place i think it would be awesome to go to berlin just to hang out and party. I looked up a lot on the night clubs there and there are supposed to be quite a few, so even if the loveparade doesn't go on this year.. i'll still enjoy the visit.. thanks for the advice though.
