WELL LOCATED HOSTEL

Great (4.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on November 30, 2011

We had a small room for two, with private bathroom; it was very quie, as posted in the publicity.
A perfect place to rest after visiting this very interesting city.
The annexe was not full and we hardly met anybody during our stay.
We had access to a kitchen, where we could prepare breakfast and sometimes a short meal.

Unique Quality: On arrival you will meet one of the managers who are not always there but easy to reach in case you need help.
From db hauptbahnhof it is an easy walk.
The spree river is also very close and the museum island; you could almost visit the whole downtown aerea without using public transport.

Directions: from db hbf take invalidenstrasse all the way to chausseestrasse then three blocks on the right.

Great Berlin Hostel

Best (5.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on January 29, 2008

Backpacking through Europe, I stayed in quite a few hostels. This place ranks high on the list. First, private rooms are available and they don't charge you an arm and a leg. Second, the place is pristine (even a smoking ban has been enacted), and the bathrooms/showers are in great shape. Lastly, the place is pretty quiet and there aren't 300,000 other backpackers around to wake you up at 4am after they get back from gallivanting all around Berlin.

I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet and/or private place during their stay in Berlin.

Unique Quality: The owner/manager of the hostel is awesome. He speaks English with ease, and is really laid back. Trustworthy guy.

Directions: Oranienburger Strasse
