Clean, Comfortable Golden Tulip
We have Just spent 3 Nights at the Tulip ( November 2009 ), couldnt fault it in any way, the room was clean and comfortable, Hi speed internet connection, wall mounted tv, mini bar etc, bathroom/shower was spotless with a nice high powered jet and a proper pivoted door.
Breakfast was buffet style, the usual cereals, cheese, ham, scrambled eggs, fruit etc etc etc, staff were efficient and whilst not bounding around smiling, they were polite helpful and well turned out. You can also sit in the conservatory area which is nice, the Hotel is off the main drag so no real view, but that does not detract from its great qualities.
We didnt eat in the hotel in the evening, so cant comment, we ate out each night, making use of the many restaurants in the area.
There is a comfortable bar in the hotel, prices for Pilsner were comparable to most bars etc.
As to the Hotel cost, we got a deal via Alpharooms and I have to say 100% value for money. There are many Hotels closer to some of the attractions, but with a very good transport system, you are well connected from the Tulip. If we ever return we would stay here again. We both recommend this Hotel.

International style Hotel
Its a very comfortable hotel that has non smoking rooms available. Its a brief walk from some underground(subway) stations - Wittenbergplatz & Augsburger Strasse and a shopping area. It is situated in quiet surroundings close to the Tiergarten park.
