Restaurant for group of 50?

by Gator1973

Hello,
I am planning a trip to Berlin for a group of 50. Does anyone have any recommendations for a restaurant that does a good buffet or fixed menu for large groups? The only place I've come up with so far is Max and Moritz--any opinions?

Thank you so much,

Erin

You might try contacting the Berlin Tourism Office. I'm pretty certain they would be happy to help a group of 50. Just let them know the area(s) of the city where you'll be staying, and a general budget. Gary

Symbol of Berlin

Bears are the symbol of Berlin. You can find a bear on the city's coat of arms, but also everywhere on the streets. You will see them in different colours, mostly standing up. It's fun to look for them and make pictures.

Visit one of the oldest airports Tempelhof

by tierecke

Tempelhof is one of the oldest civilian airports and it was designed by the Nazi architect Albert Speer.
It is located inside the city, just next to buildings - which is by itself very funny. It's a tiny airport and it's a pleasure to fly from or to, but even if not - you can just go inside and get impressed by the architecture and the grandeur - and Nazi architecture. It's easy to imagine how it was full of swastikas.
An airport with style.

This is where the west also flew in supply to the sieged Berlin after World War II (Luftbrücke). A monument with explanations are just outside of the airport

U6 to Platz der Luftbrücke and you are just there.

A piece of France ... in Berlin

by Luchonda about Galeries Lafayette

A piece of France in ... Berlin
In keeping up Berlins reputation to be a city with a keen sense of style,
Galeries Lafayette is another occasion for buying elegant, brand-name French designs, expensive perfumes, colognes, shoes, and accessories. There is even a French Library
where you can find French lecture, from Comic's to scientific works of art.
In addition and comparable with the "KaDeWe" this store is known for its fabulous basement floor, which features gourmet delights like exotic produce, imported wines, premium meats, and other “delicatessen”
The building itself is remarkable aswell and is attracting the outlook of the fanciest shopping center in Berlin. Block 207 – between Franzoesische Strasse and Morenstrasse
The architect used a lot of glass cone-shaped volumes for the façade AND the inner places
A friend of me told me that it was the last wish of the owner of this concern
to create and built another Galery like we know "Galeries Lafayette" in Paris

Pfefferburg Subground is a...

by greentara

Pfefferburg Subground is a great spot to enjoy the evening outdoors. Some evenings they have live concerts or dancing and once a year they put up a movie screen and show good old 70's gangster movies and the people come dressed a la 70's. Cool stuff!
