 | Berlin Hotel Adlon Reviews | Tips 1 - 3 of 3 | | Hotel Adlon, on Unter den Linden, opposite the Brandenburg Gate, is Berlin's most expensive hotel. It costs a couple of hundred Euros to stay here a night. I would have loved to stay here but I was a couple of hundred Euros short! Michael Jackson fans might recognise this hotel as it was here he dangled his baby from an upper floor window. Leave a Comment Theme: HotelMap: Hotel Adlon

Excuse, I didn't sleep in this hotel, not for my budget, yet :-). But I can say that the renovated recently building was impressive and its main hall looked very stylish - a place to see, but perhaps more importantly, a place to be seen. I saw page-boys and bellhops dressed in the original red uniforms of the hotel. The full name of the hotel is Hotel Adlon Kempinski Berlin as it belongs to the Kempinski chain of luxary hotels. Adlon was the most luxurious hotel of the Golden Twenties. It was open in 1907, closed in 1970 and re-opened in a new building (the old one was torn down in 1984) at the same place in 1997.
Great location next to the famous Branderburg Gate. The most expensive hotel in Berlin and maybe in Germany. I just checked it online: double room starts at 280.00 €, but there is Adlon Executive Suite for 845.00 € as well.
