Beware of Extra Charges

Bad (2.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on March 5, 2009

I booked and paid for a double room in advance and was told at check-in I would also going to be charged 20 Euro extra per night for the extra person. I tried to resolve it by calling the booking agent but to no avail--I was on hold for nearly an hour. Later in the week, I tried to resolve it again, but again no luck.

So in the end, I was twice charged for the same thing! I had checked with the travel service in advance about this double room question, since I had noticed that other guests were being charged extra for the "complimentary" breakfast and other services. Because of the problem with the room booking, I believe the hotel needs to communicate clearly and less deceptively about their rooms and possible extra rate charges upon check-in in the various listed services.

A further humiliation was being charged 23 Euros for the calls to try to straighten this out from the hotel front desk. Unbelievable! Their front desk people can be a little frosty--beware! They'll take a bite out of you one way or another.

Great CENTRAL LOCATION!!

Great (4.0 of 5.0 stars)

I spent four nights here.....located downtown only a few minutes walk to the Kudam and the U Station Wittenberg Platz...

Also this hotel was about a ten minute walk to the infamous Department store....the Ka De We ....

The service was good....convenience was better ...and the room was just fine...

If you have any questions about this hotel dont hesitate to email me and Ill try to answer your questions... : O }

I WOULD definetly stay here the next time I am in Berlin....

Unique Quality: Included in the price was a GREAT buffet breakfast that was served starting early until around 11:00 am...Almost everything you could want for breakfast you could have...

The seating area of the restaurant or dining room was large enough that I never had to wait for a table...and all of the food was fresh and hot!@

Great services and the rooms are superb with fine pillows and sheets. Quite comfortable really. Staff was polite and traditional in that German manner.

Unique Quality: Great little bistro on the ground floor of the hotel.
