Re: Bus 100

> How much it cost per ride?
Single ticket local public transport in Berlin is EUR 2,10.
A short hop ticket (up to 6 stops by bus) is EUR 1,30.
Day ticket is EUR 6,10.

> @ do it included in the train ticket?
A train ticket or rail pass won't cover bus 100.
Local public transport tickets in Berlin do cover all types of local public transport in Berlin.
- regional trains (RB, RE)
- S-Bahn
- U-Bahn (metro)
- trams
- buses
and even some ferries

You may consider a Berlin Welcome Card for 48 hours. Besides covering local public transport for 48 hours (starting with the time of validating (stamping) the Welcome Card) this card gives you also discounts for various attractions.

Travel Tips for Berlin

Doner Kebaps!!

by Sol&Jo

You have to eat a doner kebap or curry wurst at a kebap stand while in Berlin. Its a local thing to snack on. Its sooooo good! Its pretty much a lamb gyro, but the bread is toasted! I bought it one night not knowing what the heck I was ordering and we must have had one at least once a day.

Its super cheap too, 2.50 euros was the cheapest we found.

mmmm.....

St. Hedwig's Cathedral

by yooperprof

Roman Catholic Cathedral of Berlin, located just off Unter den Linden in the Mitte District, adjacent to Bebelplatz.

The design of St. Hedwig's is somewhat similar to that of the Pantheon in Rome. It is the work of Georg Wenzeslaus von Knobelsdorff, and was completed in the 1770s.

I was there on a Saturday, and was walking just as a wedding was getting out.

Olympiastadion

by m-joy

Initally built for the Olympic Games 1936 this stadium is one of the oldest but the biggest in Germany - and one of the most popular stadiums because of great atmosphere as well. It's architecture with a much lower ground and the brand new roof is a highlight, but especially the football matches bring it back to life. Watch a game of Hertha BSC or special games like the german cup final at the end of may and be part of the party.

We all know those days when...

by greentara

We all know those days when everyones had quite enough sightseeing and it's time to just play ball with friends, well here's the best place to do it. Beach volley ball at Volkspark Friedrichshain :)
Take the tram along Danzigerstr. and the tram stop is Kniprodestr. If you don't have enough people to make up team just ask the people sitting around to join in as i told you before Berliners are friendly!

Cabaret theatre in the shadows of the Kanzleramt

by jglsongs about TIPI das Zelt

TIPI das Zelt is a theatre/cabaret/restaurant all in one under a tent just a stone's throw from the Kanzleramt (or affectionately called the washing machine).

Check the TIPI web site to see what's playing. It's a great experience. (The revue 'Fifty Fifty' was phenomenal.) Casual, but don't walk in looking like a T-shirted/shorts-wearing tourist. Some people will be in jeans and a casual shirt, others will be dressed nicely. It's a dinner theatre atmosphere.
