Berlin Tip
We came to Berlin early in the morning and were touring till the late night. The morning was cloudy at the beginning, but later on the day was quite warm and even sun came up from time to time. In the photo you can see the TV tower.

I just read a very interesting tip by Sissi (Kakapo2) about the Oberbaumbrücke in Berlin. The closest S-Bahn stop is Schlesisches Tor. How far is it to walk from there?
I should have read her page earlier, as I'm leaving tonight, but maybe I'm lucky and someone from Berlin can answer my question. I'm going with my mother and she has problems walking.
Thanks in advance.
Oberbaumbrücke is directly (= 200 meters)at Schlesisches Tor. But it is not a "S - Bahn-station" , it is a station of the " U- Bahn" (= U 1 )
Roughly 300 meters.
If you are going to cross Oberbaumbrücke, coming from Kreuzberg (Schlesisches Tor), it's best to proceed and head to Warschauer Straße (S-Bahn + subway). Or vice versa of course. The two stations are more or less situated at the opposing ends of Oberbaumbrücke.
Thank you both very much. 200/300 meter won't be a problem.

As far as I know the church has a nickname 'hollow tooth' ('hohler Zahn). The story is in 1944 bomb destroyed the church and the city administration decided not to re-build it as a sign of New West. The church originally was built in 1891-1895 by Franz Schwechten and it was the highest building in the city in those times (113 meters).
If you like walking around, than you will for sure bump into many small hiden shops, where you can find many unusuall things to buy. Like a shop where you only old Russian war items are sold, old weappons, uniforms, hats, belts, medalions, etc...
I didn't find any wildlife in Berlin except ducks swimming along Spree River and Berlin's canals including the LandwehrKanal in Kreuzberg. They didn't look hungry so I even didn't try to feed them.
OK, I saw wild bears (brown or... full of colors) in Unter den Linden but they were not alive. Add wild and alive nightlife esp. in district of Kreuzberg.
Although it’s by no means on the cutting edge of Berlin’s ever-evolving Szene (scene), Oranienburgerstrasse is still a popular stop on an evening out, and there are several spots with far more locals than tourists, especially the no-frills spots like Obst und Gemuese (Fruit and Vegetables: in the old days, that’s what was sold here, and the shop names were not all that imaginative!). Some of the other bars are visibly more trendy, but they’re also filled with out-of-towners, usually dressed in black, and they’re not going to be able to point you towards the best places to continue your evening on the town. The trendier spots generally look for no jeans, but these dress codes are not strictly enforced: you will probably feel out of place if you aren't a little dressed up.
