very normal hotel

We stayed 5 night por 25euro/person.breakfast not included and it costed about 9 euros/person:too much I think.
We were obliged to go in a smoker room;probably we simply take the mistake of not specify our preference at reservation's moment; anyway nobody asks to us what kind of room we would prefere.
Quite clean, even if cleaning women come in our room when we were yet sleeping.we have to put on our door "No entry " ticket, even if in this case too nobody told us we had to.
near Mitte zone and well connected to Prenzlauer district.about 8-10 minutes walking to Rosa Luxemburg U-Bahn(hard to walk in winter).on a trafficated street and just up to a petrol pump station;not agreet landscape.
not so bad,but for the same price or less, you'll probably choose something better.

Unique Quality: 10 minutes walking to young shopping streets as Rosa Luxemburg strasse,Mulack strasse and Alte Schonahuser strasse

Ibis Berlin Mitte

The hotel is a standard Ibis Hotel, but breakfast is more diverse than in some other Ibis hotels I've stayed at. There's Internet corner in the lobby which was not the case with most other Ibis hotels. The staff was extremely nice; among them they speak some six languages.

Unique Quality: How to find the hotel:
All intercity trains arrive to Berilin Zoo (Zoologischer Garten). Some procede further to Ostbanhof. If you get off at Zoo, outside the railway station you'll find bus terminal – you want to get on bus 100 (Prenzlauer Berg) that goes directly to Ibis Mitte. The bus is excellent because it passes some of the most interesting points for sightseeing so try to find seats on the upper deck, preferably the front seats! The ride itself will take some 25 min, but you'll cover such an interesting area – after Reichstag it follows Unter den Linden street which is lined up with one famous building after another (operas, university, the dome, city hall – just to name some). You need to get off the bus at the 2nd stop (Moll Strasse) after Alex (Alexander Platz – Berliners call it Alex). You'll know when you reached Alex even without announcements (but they make announcements).

In case you go to Ostbanhof, take any S-bahn (S3, S5, S7,S9) direction Alexander Platz. Alex is 2nd stop; walk out the station direction Karl-Liebknecht strasse and wait for bus 100 or 157. Go 2 stops. The hotel is to your right (there's gas station just in front of it). You can walk from Alex, but I don't suggest it if you have heavy luggage.
