However esyjet is the only budget airline flying from Liverpool to Berlin. From Manchester there are no budget flights at all to Berlin.
check www.expedia.co.uk and www.lastminute.com for flights. This may give you an idea of which airlines fly these routes.
You could also check the airport homepage to see which airlines are flying there; Berlin Tegel and Schönefeldt has a page together

Look or search for flights from the airports that it would be possible for you to go from.
I really can't imagine a cheeper alternative to Easyjet or Ryanair. However, you do have to be flexible with your travel dates. Cheaper tickets are not always released very early.

Check-point Charlie and the Museum of the Wall.It is a 1 minute walk from the underground U-bahn Kochstrasse. If you come by car be careful where you park. There are a lot of tickets being handed out for un-priviledged parking, even if it is only for a minute to take pictures.

When I walked from Brandenburg Gate to Reichstag I noticed on the right this glass passage/bridge over Dorotheenstraße which connected two buildings of Jakob-Kaiser House - the largest of the Bundestag’s new parliamentary buildings where members of the presidium of the Bundestag, its administrators, and representatives of the parties are accommodated.
All government and parliamentary buildings at Spreeside government quarter are or will be soon connected by overground bridges/passages and/or underground tunnels.
A great place to dance, just dance (and maybe play tabletop soccer?)... anti-chic with a relaxed atmosphere. Different parties, different kinds of music: rock, indie, reggae, ska, hip hop, electronic music - whatever you like. Great DJ sessions and concerts. Hosts the Karrera Club (rock, indie & alternative music) once a month. no dress code whatsoever
