Brewers' walking tours
by maryamy
This is especially good for the English speaking crowds. Much walking and much history goes on... You can walk from 4 to nine hours depending on when you start.n This is on every day.
They also do Potsdam tours every other day.
They have leaftlets in the tourist info office or you can go for 9 am Circus (opposite a hotel I forget) or 9.30 at the New Synagogue.
Otherwise the times are 12 and 12.30 at the same places.

go to RED CITY HALL
This is the residence of Mayor of Berlin. The Neptune Fountain, infront of the RED CITY HALL, is claimed to be one of ten most beautiful in Berlin.
( NOTE: IT is one stop of bus 100, you can arrive this place easily by bus 100.)
Hertha BSC at the Olympic Stadium
by Jagermeister
We went to the Hertha BSC v. Schalke soccer game on 11/30/03 at the Olympic Stadium. On a very cold evening we were able to get 13th row seats near mid field at the ticket kiosk for 30 Euro.
The stadium was under renovation at the time, so the Hertha die hards were separated from the Schalke die hards by various cranes and closed off sections.
If you are from the US or a nation where soccer/football is not a real big deal, I highly recommend going to a game in Europe just to soak in the crazy atmosphere created by the fans. They play a huge part in the game and were in fact the highlight of the pre-game festivities. On a cold day it is very important to dress warm. We were unprepared for the weather but had a great time nonetheless. There is no inside area that we found at the game to get warm...you need to drink a lot of beer for the same effect.
Beautiful bay windows
by matcrazy1
I liked a lot these beautiful bay windows on my picture. Wooden tiles put below looked especially interesting. I found the windows in the building at Momsenstraße 5, district Charlottenburg, north of Ku-damm (U-bahn: Uhlandstraße, U15).
By the way, there were a lot of interesting architectural details in old buidings in Berlin. Natives never put any attention to them, I suppose.
Amazing atmosphere, great theatre, great food
by Emke about Bar jeder Vernunft
I´ve never been in a more stunning theatre than Bar jeder vernunft in Berlin. I still can´t decide what was better: the place or the show. Both were brilliant!
It is situated in a tent with mirrors (sort of an antique stylish circus tent). In Dutch it is called `spiegeltent´.
We were the only tourists in this place. You really have to know were the tent is situated (actually it is on the roof of a parking lot!) otherwise you can´t find it.
You can eat a little dish while you are watching a show. Before the show and in the break you can order drinks and food.
The food and the drinks are rather expensive, but the quality is good. The price of a ticket was 25 euro. You can order it at the Internet. The show I went to - String of pearls- was sold out, so I suppose it is a good idea to make a reservation. Quite dressy.
It was fun to see how some Berlin ladies were really dressed up.
But you can also wear jeans.
