Berliner Dom
by Mandy23
The cathedral was originally used as chapel for the Prussian royal family. It was almost completely destroyed in WW2. The crypt houses the graves (100+) of members of the Hohenzollern royal family.

Opening Hours
by Mandy23
Most businesses/shops open between 9-10am. Certain offices might open earlier.
At the bigger shopping-centres and malls shops are open till 8 pm on weekdays and Saturdays. Other smaller shops within the city often close at 6:30pm.
Malls are generally closed on Sunday. But I've seen on some websites that a few plan to open on Sundays during the soccer world cup.
Treptower Park
by diocletianvs
The heart of Berlin is made of the huge Tiergarten, but its residential districts are rather dense. Treptower Park makes a green oasis situated on the river Spree in south-eastern suburbs of Berlin and is very popular among those looking for some nature and escape from the urban environment.
This large park was created in the 19th Century and features huge meadows, natural wooden areas and some restaurants and cafes situated close to the water. There are some boats to rent here as well, and nearby Spreepark is a nostalgic amusement park built during the GDR era. But the main feature of the Treptower park is huge Soviet Memorial commemorating some 300,000 causalties on the Soviet side during the battle for Berlin in WWII.

Paradise for... fetishists?
by matcrazy1 about KaDeWe (Kaufhaus des Westens)
Look at just one example of huge choice of stuff to buy on my picture. There were a few hundreds various models of brassiere - real paradise for women and... fetishists :-). Great place to choose what you like. Underwear. Rather expensive stuff but good quality always costs a lot.
The Berlin Bahn's

There's an an extensive network system of underground lines and urban railway lines (U-Bahn & S-Bahn), which make it easy for people and tourists to reach any location in town. The city is relatively safe, and using the subway is a convenient, fast and reasonably inexpensive way of moving about.
Although I went there for a total of 4 days..and I bought the welcome ticket which gives you 48-72 hours from the first time you use it. I prefer to buy 1 ticket once and for all, and never have to worry again. However, you can buy tickets anywhere- at booths or machines..so don't panic.
The 7-day ticket costs = 25,40 euros
The Day-ticket costs = 5,80 euros
And there is another type of ticket, which is called the 'welcome ticket', which gives you 48-72 hours and costs 16,00 / 22,00 euros respectively.
