The Funny 'SS' (Double S)
by Pakistaniguy
In German language there is a special symbol to write double S. You will see this very interesting and nice symbol of 'SS' on my street signs in Berlin. I really liked it. Its a bit unusual but nice.
Btw, the name of the street in this picture is 'Voss Strasse'. In English it mean 'Voss Street' :-)

There's a wonderful lake...
by greentara
There's a wonderful lake surrounded by forest at a place called Leignitz. So beautiful on a hot summers day to walk through the cool forest then lie in the sun or play ball then jump in the lake to cool off!
Do you need a bag ?
by matcrazy1 about bagAge
It was a very interesting store full of various, mostly casual bags made of plastic, leather or other material by a few companies of which I remember only Diesel and Eastpak. There were shopping bags, handbags, duffel bags, simple sacks and small backpacks (rucksacks) as well. Low or average prices.
Rail

The best way around Berlin would be S and U Bahn. First goes above and the other one under. Both are well organized, on time and the signs always tell you which is the next stop, you can't get lost! The last time I was there it costed 2.20 euro for a single ticket, but that might have changed, I am not sure.
They rarly check if people have their ticket, but I would not recommend you to try your luck. If you don't have it and get cought they will make a big deal out of it, you will be charged (I think 40 euro) and if you don't have it on you they call the police. Also, the guy that is cheking tickets is under cover so you won't have a chance to get off.
