I stayed here for 2 nights in order to hold a seminar for German government employees. This is a solid 3-star hotel located quite centrally for the government quarter and the wonderful Gendarmenmarkt square, Unter den Linden boulevard and the UNESCO-listed Museum Island. Leipziger Straße is quite a busy street, so requesting a room away from it might be a good idea.
Decent disabled access. Very good breakfast.
The rate of EUR 110 per night was a bit on the pricey side. Similar hotels can probably be found for less, if you shop around for bargains a bit. 75-90 EUR would be a good deal for this standard. WiFi-Internet overpriced as well, 10 EUR for an hour is ridiculous.
We just returned from a tour of central Europe and stayed at the NH Berlin Mitte Hotel. The service from the time we walked in until the time we checked out was outstanding. The hotel is centrally located to most of the sights in downtown Berlin that you would want to see. The breakfast buffets were magnificent! We are planning on a return trip to Berlin in the near future and plan on staying at this hotel again.
Unique Quality: Great central location, spotless rooms, excellent desk and restaurant staff. It was just a pleasure to be there.
this is an innovative hotel with functional twist. they put in effort to design and they provide everything you need and more than you expect. only stayed a night though, but it was good enough to stick in my mind. And i had a GREAT night's sleep despite being jet lagged.. The rooms are lit in an interesting way, their lights are cool! The bathrooms are spacious and the room is well made!
Will be staying at the NH Hotel near Check Point Charlie. How far a walk is it to Brandenberg Gate? Also since we have been to Berlin before, we are thinking of skipping the tour in the morning and going on our own. How much is there to see around this area? How far is Potsdamer Platz from the hotel? The hotel is the NH Berlin Mitte on Leipziger Strasse.
