Berlin Love Parade
Hi Folks,
Me and a mate are flying down from Glasgow to the Love Parade on 15th July. I was wondering if anyone could suggest a good hostel in the vacinity of Straße des 17. Juni.

I think, there are no hostels near Tiergarten area or near strasse des 17. Juni, but it will be easy to get there from any place in Berlin at Loveparade time,check out

Straße des 17. Juni runs straight through the Tiergarten park.

are not that far. Berlin has an excellent public transport system, as ong as the hostel is well connected by public transport you won't have problems.

There's a big hostel at Zoo Station which is walking distance from Strasse des 17. Juni. No idea if it's good though...

Liam, we've just booked 3 nights @ pension Potsdamer Platz for 90 euro!!! basic but clean, & a easy walk to Love Parade as its in the Tiergarten. We're flying in from Leeds on the 14th & home on 17th. Cannot wait, this is my 2nd Love Parade (3rd if you count leeds) and nothing will prepare you for one of the best times of your life, with the nicest people you will ever meet. maybe see you there (1.5 000,000)!!! have fun

For 90 Euro, you can book a double occupancy room at the InterContinental (4.5 stars?) which is south of Tiergarten. I booked my LoveParade trip (7/13-7/16) hotel at Park Inn Alexanderplatz (3.5 star?) for about the same price. Having a hotel near the LoveParade itself is kind of pointless since the parade is going to happen during the day and it's pretty easy to get around via public transportation. I picked my hotel based on what I think the actions would be at night. And from what I've read (I've never been to Berlin myself, I am just a research freak), the hot night spots are closer to central Berlin (Tiergarten is 1-2 miles west).
