You should take a trip to the Tierpark Friedrichfelde, even if it is still in east Berlin. It's very nice there. On the area you will find lots of different animals (as ususal for a zoo). But there is one thing others zoos can't give you ... a small kind of castle thing from the aristocratic familiy, who lived here earlier in residence. Pretty nice.You reach this witj public transportation: U5 from Alexanderplatz to Hönow, station: 'Tierpark' (about 15 minutes from Alexanderplatz in the undergroundtrain).
