Germany's Affordable Hotel
This hotel is a 3 star hotel offering a world class service. It is cheap that you can stay here for just 69 Euros per night. It is near at the airport and The Brandenburg Tor which is basically a good place to discover. It is easy to locate and affordable to everyone who will stay here.

Close and Convenient
This hotel is centrally located between the Kurfuerstendamm and Potsdamer Platz . Getting to the nearest subway station will take you 5 minutes, and the the famous 100 bus line stops right by the front door (although we never did use it). The rooms were really small (especially when comparing them to hotels in the US or Middle East)..however, they managed to fit a mini-bar, a closet a desk and an average-sized bed into that space!
The staff were extremely helpful and efficient - much like most of the germans I met. All in all I say this hotel gave a good value for its money.

Modest but very confortable, excellent located
The lobby looks modest, but don't let it disappoint you. The rooms are large, spotless clean and well equipped. All room stuff and the food in the restaurant is top quality. The breakfast is very rich, starting early (6:30) and until fairly late (11:00). The lunch buffet is acceptable, but there is no dinner. The tiny staff is friendly, helpful, and speacks English well. We ordered it online (Internet) and everything went well.
Unique Quality: The location is great - the 100 bus has a stop right in the front of the hotel; the KaDeWe and the Zoo are within a walking distance. We were very happy to stay there and we'll definitely recommend it to our friends.

We stayed at the Hotel Sylter...
We stayed at the Hotel Sylter Hof in Kurfurstenstrasse because it had apartments to hire for short term which were suitable for travelling with two children under 3. Details are at Hotel Sylter Hof
A junior suite (70 sqm) is DM269 per night and includes breakfast.
Unique Quality: The apartments are on the 15th and 16th Floors and have excellent views towards Potsdamer Platz and the Tiergarten.

had been given a hotel of the name of berlin mark (By a really helpful guy in here) , but this one looks better on the website and was just wondering if anyone knows if it is any good, and if they know what underground details we need to get from shoenfeld airport to there

It's not too far from the train station Zoo (Zoologischer Garten), about 1k, I think (within walking distance, about 15 minutes?, if you're in the mood). From Schoenefeld Airport, the "Airport Express" (train) will take you to Zoo station in about 30 minutes. Directly in front of Zoo station, take bus #100. There'a a 100 each 5 or 10 minutes, it's the bus most frequented by tourists, by the way. The hotel "Sylter Hof" is at the 4th or 5th stop, I think, should take you there in about 5 min. It's a typical tourists' hotel, nothing special about it. Haven't heard anything bad about it.
