Hi. Could someone recommend a good 4* hotel in Berlin, in the Mitte or centre, where no public transport is required as I will only have 3 Days there.
Any hotel with Tea/Coffee facilities in the room, or is not the custom in Germany?
Many Thanks.
During a recent business trip my local office booked me into: -
Alsterhof Hotel
Augsburger St. 5
10789 Berlin (Wilmersdorf)
which was comfortable, very central, and offered a (discounted) rate of just 80 euros a room (+ 16 for breakfast). Public transport in Berlin is excellent.

This is the wrong approach for Berlin. It's a really huge and widespread city without a real single center. Buy day tickets or a Berlin Welcome Card and use the excellent public transport as often as possible. E.g. buses 100 or 200 to hop between some of the major sights.

Good locations are hotels near cross points of U-Bahn and S-Bahn lines.

If breakfast is extra, it's easy to find cheaper breakfast elsewhere.
For EUR 16,00 you can easily have a dinner (incl. 2 beers) in Berlin.

Not really. But I'm no expert in 4* or 5* hotels.
Hi,
The WEstin is a solid 4 star hotel right on Under den Linden. You can walk to the museums, Brandenburg Gate, etc. There's alot of good shopping and restaurants in this area. Also, if you get brave the #100 and #200 double decked buses stop in front of the hotel and will take you all over the city for sightseeing for the cost of a one day city transport pass.
Cheers!!!
