Like Bad Homburg also Bad Nauheim is an old spa town in Hessen. With its springs of natural carbondioxid containing saltwater it became a spa town with world reputation.
In town you will find lots of spa hospitals and a huge park area for recreation. Further there are the remains of the salt industry which gave wealth to the inhabitants of Bad Nauheim. Nowadays you can have walks along the salines which provide a salty humid air, perfect for good health.
In case you like music, in particular Elvis, then you might have heard of Bad Nauheim as he has stayed here from 1958 to 1960 during his military times in Germany. One of his singles even has a scene of Bad Nauheim on the cover.
In 2010 Bad Nauheim will host the Landesgartenschau (State garden exhibition) of Hessen.
