There are suburban trains direct from the Airport in Frankfurt to Wiesbaden, s-bahn numbers s8 or s9 direction Wiesbaden . You catch the s-bahn in the Regional Train station in the basement of the airport, not the long distance train station. You will seee signs pointing the way and can ask people the way, I think it,s in the basement of terminal 1. The taxi would be expensive, at least E60. I would guess by the address of your hotel that it will be in the same street as the train station where you arrive. Stay on the s-bahn all the way to Wiesbaden Train station.

G20 is one of the administration buildings at the Abbott site in Wiesbaden-Delkenheim.

DB timetable

There are direct buses. The best connections are however only at the times the employees start/end work. Travel time is approx. 30-40 minutes. Single ticket is EUR 2,20. Day ticket EUR 5,50.

Taxi will need just half the time (more direct route). Approx. EUR 20 one way.

The Balcony of the Mayor's office

by MarioPortugal

The Mayor's office is located on Romer square. A curiosity is that when arriving from a match played abroad the German Football Team (Soccer for the USA) usually lands in Frankfurt. The national players usually come then to the Mayor's office balcony to present themselves to the fans.

old Market, new area of Euro Central Bank

by dircelo

soon it will not be off the beaten track, but still monumental to watch the old "Grossmarkthalle" which was supplying Frankfurt with fruits, food etc for years untill a new modern center was built.
The Building is protected and preserved and will be included into the new European Central Bank.

When you have time to walk along the Mainriver towards Offenbach you will not miss the building next to the "Deutschherrenbrücke" railway/pedestrian bridge.

Inside CoBa's HQ: The Sky Gardens

by codrutz

The great architect of the Commerzbank building, that I mostly admire - Sir Norman Foster - conceived the sky gardens as a fundamental element in his conception. In spiral form, nine sky gardens rise up to the tower - three each facing eastwards, southwards and westwards. Beside being more than and estethic and relaxing place to be during break time, the gardens reflects three different types of vegetation:

Eastward-facing: Asian vegetation
Southward-facing: Mediterranean vegetation
Westward-facing: North American vegetation

The four storeyes high gardens provides also daylight for the inner offices. The nine gardens are also a place for communication purposes and for breaks, creating a feeling of opennes and space. This gardens are one of the higlights that I love about this building.

All for the outdoors - Globetrotter

by Trekki

Outdoor fans might have heard of Globetrotter shops, a chain of by now six branches throughout Germany (Hamburg, Dresden, Cologne, Berlin, Bonn and Frankfurt). They are specialised in any kind of outdoor equipment, with a lot of famous brands and their own one, Four Seasons.
The shop in Frankfurt is the smallest one with 1400 square metres, but has all one needs to complete the outdoor gears. Besides the main shop there is a smaller building to the left devoted to tents. Some are mounted and others will be mounted upon request.
The staff is very much knowledgeable and helpful. Well, what to buy ? What you need or feel you need. The prices are average but they often have what they call “hot offers” (on their website, but also available in the shops) – reduced prices for things from the preceding models.
