Good option near main train station
Not bad at all. Good quality at a reasonable price. Handy location as well right near the main train station. Given that I was only in Frankfurt for 24 hours, it was a good choice.
The Bitburger beer in the bar is also worth trying.

4 Star ? I think not
Although we were only overnighting and the Savoy hotel was conveniently located opposite the main train station, I felt just that bit ripped off by the fact that they clain to be a 4 star establishment. I certainly wouldn't rate them more than a 3 star. Our twin bedroom was L shaped with a bed in each leg of the L and the lift shafts occupying the corner which made it rather noisy.
The beds were however some of the most comfortable I have slept in (maybe anything would be comfortable after 12 hours in the air)
Breakfast (which I believe is excellent) was included in the special rate I got though the website " Hotel Club" but as we had to be at the airport with the sparrows, we were unfortunately not able to sample this.
Unique Quality: Excellent location for people like us overnighting - right opposite the main train station.

clean & comfortable
The hotel was fine, was a little worried after reading some reviews but the beds were comfortable & the bathroom was clean. They also give you a free bottle of water in your room which is a nice touch. The breakfast selection was great they had both a hot & cold section with bacon, sausages, cereal, bread etc.
The hotels location is ok, opposite the train station & 15 mins from the airport. There isn't a great selection of bars & restaurants but the Irish bar was buzzing & there were several kebab shops, chinese & indian restaurants.
Overall I would say this is more of a 3* than 4 but that is reflected in the price.
We walked along the river which was lovely to the christmas market which was great. There wasn't really anything else to see through.
