Hello: Would appreciate some guidance restaurants that have a good selection of vegetarian food near the main airport.
Thanks
I don't know any vegetarian restaurant in the airport, however all restaurants there will have at least one vegetarian dish. If you take the S-Bahn to the city - about 15 to 20 minutes ride - you can go to a good Indian place with lots of vegetarian dishes.

Another place to go is the cafeteria of the Kaufhof department store, up on 7th floor. It's self-service, so don't expect a fancy restaurant, but the food is very good, a large selection of vegetarian dishes and - if the weather is nice - a great view.
Hello Christine: Thank you very much for a well thought out response, specifically, the suggestions for Indian food. I live in the US and if there is any way I can return the favor, please let me know.
Subra
I agree with Christine on Kaufhof cafeterias, it is all smorgasbord, tasty food and reasonably priced. Kaufhof is found in many cities in Germany and although gourmets may not want to go there, I dragged my Aunt into the one in Munich yelling and screaming - (not really!) and she was astonished at how good the food was. I had friends with me who spoke no German so for them it was ideal, just fetch your food and a drink and pay on the checkout. They weigh your plate so you can take as much or as little as you want.
You're quite welcome, Subra. I hadn't checked before, but now I see that you're new to VT. Welcome to this great travel site, I hope you'll enojoy it as much as I do.
Happy travels.

Here are just a few of the 350,619 titles on display at the Frankfurt Book Fair in October 2004.
By coincidence, the photo includes part of the English Network series of textbooks.
If by any chance you are teaching English to adults in Germany, Austria or Switzerland you might well be using these books in your classes. (If not, you can at least admire their pretty covers.)
No point bringing a small carrier bag! If you're like me that is. ;)
Thought I could make it through this trip using a small carry-on luggage (with a folded-up spare duffel tucked inside) hehehe...
but obviously, it's a mistake I'd not make again.
The hardcase is going with me on the next trip! hehehe... Shoes -- again, very important to wear good walking shoes that provide support for your feet.
Forget about fashion and looking chic -- flip flops or impossible small kitten heels will kill your feet!
Remember that in a lot of old European towns, the streets are cobbled! Real killers for feet not properly shod!
This time, I found my sneakers from Delia's really good for both walking in the city as well on the outskirts of the city!
And they looked great too! Just the usual stuff that you need.
Of course you could get medical supplies for common ailments readily at the pharmacies, but remember that shops close very early on weekdays, at 8pm all the shops are closed! And forget about going to the shops on Sundays!
It's mandatory no working day for Germany! So only food stalls and restaurants are open, or the odd carnival fair with stalls... other than that, you can't buy anything on Sundays! I used a Sony Digital Camera and it was great!
Firstly, it is idiot proof and secondly, it allowed me to review and delete shots that were not satisfactory.
Of course I wanted to bring my Holga LOMO for great black and white arty shots but common-sense got the better of me.
But really, whatever you choose to use, remember to bring a camera!
There are PLENTY of photo opportunities! :)
Kronberg is a village in the Taunus region near Frankfurt and a worthwhile half-day-trip if you happen to be in Frankfurt am Main. It has a very nice old town with plenty of half-timbered houses and a medieval castle; great view from the ramparts on the town and the Frankfurt skyline, good weather provided. The main protestant church of Kronberg has multiple paintings and should not be missed either.
Easily reached by public transport (S-Bahn S4).
Fulda is rightfully famous for its magnificent cathedral - quite a sight, as you can see in the photograph (ca. 1 hour east of Frankfurt). Other sights in the area: The palace "Schloss Fasanerie" and the hilly Rhön Region which is perfect for hiking and cycling.
