At Hofheim's little river
Hofheim at the Taunus hills is a very green town of about 41.000 citizens, and was first mentioned in 1262 as Hoveheim. It's about 15 mns from either Frankfurt and Wiesbaden. And is surrounded by the fairy tale like, beautiful "Hofheimer Forst".
We made a quick stop only at Hofheim's for taking a walk along a lovely little river that goes through the town of Hofheim. Also I tried to find the ice house where to my dad took us as kids every now and then, sometimes right after visiting Kronberg's Opel Zoo as Kronberg too is just a 15 mns drive away from Hofheim. Haven't found that ice house again though.
"Hofheim is provided with many local pubs, secondary schools and several facilities for further education. The town also hosts one of the biggest pools (the Rhein Main Therme) in the Frankfurt metropolitan area..it's one of the fastest growing regions in Germany in terms of population and also in regard to economical productivity. The unemployment is the second lowest in the state of Hesse and one of the lowest in Germany." wikipedia
