Landhotel Fasanenhof Datterode: Comfortable hotel and unique restaurant

In Datterode, Ringau, in Hesse we found a comfortable Hotel and an unique restaurant inside, around a wonderful landscape.
The owners given us the feeling to be at home. It was really a very good service. The breakfast at morning all what you wished, but the dinners excellent! They really have an unique cook. Not only they have local meals, also creative ones with fine taste.
Rooms are with terraces and TV, bath, but I didn´t found telephone in my room. You should ask for. What was also unique is the ambiente inside the restautant and outside garden of the hotel.

River Campgrounds: camping along the Lahn

I never did it...just passed by some of the campgrounds and what I've seen it looked very nice and quiet, lot of Families prefer a holiday like that

most of them rented out kayaks and offered tourpackages for a day on the River...sure you can bring your own kayak
but one thing I can tell you...the River has a rich birdlife, Swans nesting and you have to navigate them carefully..they know they are protected and the male is a fighter

Inn Krancher: Inn in a wonderful area - Ruedesheim

If I come to the Rhine, I do not search long for a lodging. I spend the night here.

Inn Krancher lies picturesquely in the part Eibing of town Ruedesheim, below the abbey Saint Hildegard. Cultivated rooms, a good service, nice landlords and landladies and good food.

The Hilton

The only Hilton that I know in this region is in Frankfurt, but if you do not have a company credit card you should really avoid it because they will rip you off here.

Youth Hostel

As usual in Germany I am recommending the Youth Hostels. There are just 2 things you have to do in advance:
To get the international youth hostels card.
And to call and reserve accommodation because usually places are fully booked, especially during weekends and national holidays.
