Hi, I have no experience traveling in Germany. Can someone please tell me why Wetzlar is sometimes called Nauborn-Wetzlar? Thanks!
Hi, are you sure it's not Wetzlar-Nauborn?
I saw on a map Nauborn is a village or township that is now part of the town (municipality) of Wetzlar. Hence the double name could be an explanation.
Another possible explanation: on an old map I saw a rather small area around Wetzlar used to be a separate county. Maybe it had the name N.-W. or W.-N. (was no clue on my map about that.

but that's Wetzlar, around 4km from the old Center, the industrial Wetzlar presents itself as the breadbasquet for the City..where the goods are made, income generated and people make a living of.
