Taxi Wiesbaden - Frankfurt Flughafen

by jacob_m

Does anyone know approximately how much a taxi from downtown Wiesbaden to Frankfurt Main Airport would cost?

Thanks!

A lot, I would guess! It's about 30 km.

Unless you have enormous amounts of luggage it will be easier and cheaper to take the train from Wiesbaden to the airport.

taxi Wiesbaden to Frankfurt Airport: ~ EUR 43,00

A local public transport ticket is EUR 3,35. From any train/tram/bus stop in Wiesbaden to Frankfurt Airport.
With a lot of luggage the locals would use a taxi to the next railway station and use the S-Bahn S8 which goes directly to Frankfurt airport. The S-Bahn is also more reliable than to use the roads (traffic jams esp. during rush hours).

Travel Tips for Wiesbaden

Architecture

by antistar

Wiesbaden contains a great deal of wonderful and eclectic buildings, many reminscent of my own home town of Leamington Spa. This one pictured, on Adolfstrasse I think, captured my attention in particular with its fabulous wrought-iron balconies. I'd love to live in a building like this, although I suspect it costs a fortune.

Turkish Gyros Stands.

by Shnazzystacey

Wiesbaden has a large number of Turks that just keep on coming. They generally stay in the same place and if you are looking for a little night of fun and a bit of danger head there. When walking around you will notice that there are many reasurants in the little turkey area of Wiesbaden, and a lot of them are very good. Gyros are a very poplar and cheap dinner and I defintaly suggest checking a gyro shop out. You may also find yourself getting really into a game of Fussball, if Turkey's team wins you can be sure to hear the horns honking down main street.

Convenient and tasty!

by shrimp56 about Alex

This is where we wound up when we didn't know where else to go for a drink or a light meal. We sat on the terrace, inside and upstairs with the windows open. A very useful and pleasant spot just off the walking street. My fave was the ham baguette.
.
My only complaint is that they charged you separately for the gin and the tonic [as did all bars], but didn't bring the whole bottle of tonic [as did all other bars I drank at]

Italian top in Wiesbaden

by mauro_pd about Osteria da Enzo

The favorite of my grandma :-)
In Germany you can find lots of italian restaurants but the quality is often bad; this one is an exception offering wonderful meat and different kind of italian courses.
A little bit pricy, but it's worthy of !!!! Filetto di Manzo !!! lecker !!!!!!
And the final Grappa ;-)

Biebricher Schlosspark...

the Biebricher Schlosspark (Biebrich castle park).
great nature, walking trails, a castle (see picture), and there are parrots flying around (even in winter). you have to be lucky to see them, but you can always hear them.
