;-)) Night club?
by chancay
Well, it is no local costum, but I neither could put it to nightlife tip because I haven´t been there to check it...I found it just funny to see a kind of red zone night club in this beautiful old building just in the pedestrian zone....
Stage entrance with bicycles
by Nemorino
The brown sandstone steps lead up to the stage entrance. The canteen is just off to the right of the stage entrance (first windows on the right), so if your favorite singers don't come out after the show they are probably in the canteen having a drink or something.
As is true of most opera houses in this part of the world, lots of the staff members and musicians come to work by bicycle.
Excellent Corean (Asian) Buffet
by merak about Gang na rhu (By the shore)
Very good Corean buffet, good to combine whith a visit to Biebrich castle and park.
Take bus 14 until Schloß Biebrich or 4 until final station. Then walk on the Rhineside until you see the RWB Bootshaus. While eating, you can have a look at the calm riverside.
You can eat all you can for 7,80 Euro from Tuesday to Saturday, 12- 14 h
Special setting for 12,80 Euro Friday and Saturday evening, 18 - 21 h
From 21 h to 23h and on Sundays and festive days you have to pay "à la carte", also from Tuesday to Wednesday in the evening.
Closed on Monday. You'll find cabbage salad whith ginger and chilies and avery tasty soup whith celron and beef stripes, a sort of vegetarian "sushi" (rice rolled in algues whith vegetables)
and an asian fruit salad besides the usual breaded bananas as sweets
It tastes somewhat better than usual Chinese "all you can eats".
Indian style
by mauro_pd about Shalimar
Nice spot along one of the main W. street for shopping and leisure time.
Good interiors without being wonderful and a nice outdoor place as fresh as enough even in the hot summer. Everything !!!!!!!
You can go for the typical Tandoori stuff (cooked in the indian oven) or for a lot of different food.
Anyhow my best was "Tandoori mix" with fried onions as starter.
Schlossplatz
by chancay
As a midpoint of the old town of Wiesbaden you can understand the Schlossplatz, named so in the year 1900. two times a week a market take place here. In the middle of the place you see the "Marktbrunnen" that already existed in the beginning of the 16th century but destroyed during the war 1618-1648. The today still existing one was created by Johannes Barger in the year 1753.
