Pubs & Clubs everywhere

These people like to PARRRTAY!! There is usually a festival going on somewhere near your Major German towns. If you come to Wiesbaden, Frankfurt is only 25 minutes (driving slow) but Wiesbaden/Mainz Kastel is a lot of fun!! German tax is a pain but if you can get some V.A.T. forms you'll be ok! There is something for everyone available:) Well, I loved it when I got here in 2004, it snowed and I had my 1st white Christmas I've had for some time now! In 2005 it snowed on Thanksgiving, that was great!! I have been to many festivals and the KUZ (a huge, crazy but cool bar), and The Irish Pubs are fun. Some friends and I went to Darmstadt for Halloween, to the ORIGINAL Frankenstein's Castle! Drank Much Sangria!! I have been to The Oktoberfest in Munich as well, this place would be great if I wasn't working so much!

Is this a cultural tip ? I don't really know but u will feel this if u visit Wiesbaden: the pace of the life is really slowed down if compared to a 'normal'
business & busy city ... enjoy this ... or esape as soon as possible :-), this pace makes me feel a little bit too older :-)))))))

This neighbourhood is located on the Rhine shore. Enjoy a walk at the haven.
Walk direction Walluf, passing a natural reserve for birds.
The village is known for it's storks, of which you see one nest at the photo.
Little Italy in Wiesbaden
by shrimp56 about Goldgasse
Goldgasse is a narrow street that form part of the connection between the walking street and the town hall/market square area There isn't much to choose between them. None are spectacular. (But in particular avoid "Comeback Restaurant.") On the other hand all are great places to sit outside and have a beer while watching the world pass by.

OK, the name (sounding 1001 nights) is a little bit overestimated, but the food is quite interesting, interiors not so shining but warm enough to enjoy the dinner with relax. The easy-to-prepare starter with onion, cheese, bread and fresh parsley.
