Sunsets
Sunsets on the Baltic Sea are always great, at least for a guy who lives far away from any sea. As the Baltic Sea region is the sunniest corner of Germany you'll probably have loads of such great sunsets.

Rostock is very proud of its Christmas Market and Fair. It lasts for almost one month begining in late November and lasting almost until Christmas. The Christmas Market and Fair encompass many traditions, plays, Medieval Historical Christmas events, of course, food, wine and plenty for everyone to enjoy. Except that the Christmas Market of course takes place near Christmas, it reminds me very much of the "State Fairs" held in the United States. Who doesn't remember the baking contests, games, rides, farm exhibits and animals at their state fair??
The Christmas Market and Fair being held in Rostock for 2006 will include gigantic Christmas Trees which will decorate the famous "Kroepeliner Tor" and Seafaring House. The Historical Christmas Market held in Ziegenmarkt (goat market) Village will feature 11 medieval handicraft and trade stalls with a silversmith, potter, painters, woolspinning, woodcarving, gownmaker, etc. Food made with Medieval recipes will be available as well.
You probably have seen or may even have one of the German Christmas "pyramids" which are wooden with many succeeding smaller levels reaching to its top with figures on each level, and topped by a horizontal windmill. Heat-warmed air generated by candles make the windmill spin. Well, there will be a giant "Christmas Pyramid" of at least 7 meters high at the fair. Quite spectacular!
Performances of German fairytales will delight people of all ages. Delicious food, mulled wines, souvernirs, crafts, performances and singing, even Ferris Wheels and Carousels enhanced by a festive blaze of lights will make anyone's Christmas memories last a life time. I WISH I COULD BE THERE!!
The 2006 Weihnachtsmarkt will take place from November 23 til December 21st.
The 12th century city wall originally built as a defence of the Slavic castle settlement - only survives in parts around the south side of the city. This section is at Klosterhof (the Cloisters), near Kroepeliner Strasse.
This place is a travelers Paradice !
This Old Port-town at the edge of Warnemuende has many open ways to the East-see.
It has a lot to offer to travelers as myself. Since 400 years this city is one of the finest Harbor-towns in Germany.....Ship-building trades ; Fisching industry and Trading across the see.
Also walking trough the Old -town is a delight. There is so much to see ... buildings, churches,
towers, gates, fountains, etc.
