From here you get all the most important places in schwerin. Another place is call "Marienplatz".
You´ll see from which place you´ll get the most popular places.
My tip is, take the street to the railroad station and see it, and he famous wunderfull standpipe with woman and man in love and than...do it yourself... ;o) More photos I´m gaving you in near future
Little Peter lived long ago at the castle, since he is short...people used to make fun out of him, which hurt him a lot and still belived to live as a ghost in the castle....he is very kind for the good people and act bad for the others. So behave good while you are in Schwerin.
This little Peter's figure is at the enterance of the Museum near Rathus (town hall).
Its located half way between Hamburg and Berlin. Can be reached by train/car...it took 1.5 hrs from Hamburg on the regional train. DB (train) has weekend offer for EUR 25 for 5 people! for return. Cost per person is only 5 EUR. And easily reachable from Berlin & Hamburg. Worth visiting on a sunny day!! They are currently working on the gardens and some part of the castle for the upcoming (next year) flower/garden festival/show!
