What means: The Kröpcke
by elgin99
Either the "Alex" or "Kudamm" in Berlin, or the Wallstreet in New York...
Same means the "Kröpcke" in Hanover. as Hanover city centre, more "city" as Kröpcke? No. *laughing
Everything which ever was in Lower Saxony's provincial capital, the town of industries fair and CeBIT, is slouched along about this Kröpcke, been millions during the EXPO2000.
90% of the appointments of Hanoverians and by guests from all of the world happened on the single watch, the Kröpckeuhr.
Kröpcke is also the metro station of Hannover.
Kröpcke was a famous former Café, is also the Kröpcke clock. That clock formerly was a weather column, built 1885, reconstructed 1954 (without weather instruments now).
Kröpcke means also the crossroad. Kröpcke, hat name in Hannover. :))

Packing List

Rain gear, and layers. The weather is totally unpredictable (although the weathermen still try). It rains often, year-round, and the wet makes the temperature drop. I'm wearing fleece in June! When the sun manages to stay out for a day, it's plenty hot for shorts and sandals, but that's a rare treat. The Apothekes (pharmacies) are well-stocked and staff often speak English, so you shouldn't have any trouble finding non-prescription medicine. It's always fun trying to describe your intimate medical needs, there are so many words they don't teach you in German class.
Pop music
by chancay about Osho the Zorba (Bugge)
A disco for young and old with actual pop music, sometimes a bit older music , especially on wednesdays at "over 30" parties. depends on the bouncer....generally no dress code, but well dressed prefered (nothing exagerated neither)
Bayer!!!
by yatingchen about Bavarium
The restaurant is inside and outside total Bayerish. What's typical Bayer: wooden building, blue & white symbol, beer garden, bretel, Schweinehaxen, white sausage etc. The toilette of the restaurant is well-designed as well where you must experience. Bretzel (bread) is tasty and so as well as the Schweinehaxen.
