Isn't this a beautiful building?
Looking at the Landesmuseum
in the first class, managers and colleagues
My husband and I will be traveling to Germany for the first time. The first few days I will be in business meetings while my husband explores. After the meetings are over, I would like to "dump" some luggage as we will be spending the next week backpacking around Germany. Is there a safe place in the Hannover train station or airport where I could store one or two small suitcases for a week?

Luggage lockers are no option as the storage time there is at max 72 hours.

The Expro2000. After about 150-year's effort, Germany was able to host for the first time for a Weltausstellung.
It is not a very interesting place to visit, since the expectation of the visitors could mostly not be satisfied. But you have to go there, if you ever visit Hannover.
Achtung!!! The Expro will be closed on Oct. 31, 2000. But some part of the exhibition, such as the ThemePark will still be there.
For 2 hours you can follow the trails of people who were born in Hannover and became famous either through their own literary work or that of others. The religious poet Spitta for instance, the Schlegel brothers, Herman Löns, Kurt Schwitters and Joachim Ringelnatz, but also the great Leibniz, or Goethes "Lotte" from his masterpiece "The Sorrows of Young Werther".

In Hannover there´s both, tram and subway, in the inner city it´s subway in general, more outside the city the trains come up to go as tram. On the picture you see only tram in the inner city, in the background you may recognize the opera.
Buffet-type restaurant in the vaults of the New Town Hall. This restaurant is mainly for the employees of the Town Hall. But everybody can come and eat here.
You find it in the cellar of this big building. When you go down the stairs you can admire the thick walls and high vaults of this wide hall. It is only open from Monday to Friday from 12:00 to 14:00.
Always enjoy looking at old aeroplanes, and plenty here to admire. Stating at the very early days of aviation, through WWI & II to some modern exhibits.
Enjoyed our morning here, well worth the 8 Euro entrance fee.
