No. The "From: HAJ airport" was only for the case that you may land at Hannover airport.

some of the few old buildings (taken by night) that did survive more or less the WWII or have been reconstructed after it. Hannover was very much destroyed, as you can see in the models of the town shown in the new town hall
I put those photos under old town although it is not really in the little part called officially oldtown of Hannover. But these are the older buildings of the city still existing.
In Hannover there is also the Synagoge of the Liberal Jewish Community. I once visited it, when there was a big bazaar. I drank a kosher Beer there. I was quite fascinated, that a Hannover Brewery is able to brew Kosher Beer. Very interesting! The beer tastes the same as other German beer.

Hannover has a good public transport system. You can get everywhere quite easily by tram, subway or bus. Unfortunately tickets are expensive, the best value is a day ticket for the city zone costs ? 3,10 (TagesEinzelTicket), a short distance ticket (Kurzstreckenticket) for 3 stations is 1 ?. A 'normal' ticket (Einzelticket) is ? 1,70!!!
Be careful when buying tickets!! The ticket vending machines ('Tix') at the tram stops won't give you change back so pay the right sum!!!
There are 2 quite well known restaurants with typical southgerman ambience and dishes in Hannover. the Bavarium and the Paulaner.
Our visit from Peru loved to get some typical "rustical" dishes like that so we tried out both, but while Bavarium was absolutely crowded we decided to give Paulaner a chance. And it was good. The prices are reasonable and the dishes were big enough for us, although comparing it with same dish I had some weeks before in a restaurant in Munich, my salad was just about half of big, nevertheless very delicious as well.
The Old Town isn´t very big in Hannover. It´s rebuild after the second world war because the most were destroyed. It´s a nice places in this town specially in the Christmas time. But it´s nice in summer time too because of the pavements.
In the Old Town you als find the Leibnitz House.
