Norden-Norddeich belongs to a region called 'Ostfriesland'
There are many jokes about the inhabitants of that particular region and of course those jokes are not too much in favour of the 'Ostfriesen'.
Nevertheless, I very much like the poeple living in that northern part of Germany as they are very friendly and open.
I also love the local food. If you happen to go there, try the fish and especially the lamb -yummy!!!

The beautiful small town of Norden in the North of Germany is one of my favourite places to go for a quiet weekend.
"You must be kidding, there is no such thing as a quiet day in this popular spot for tourists", I can almost hear a few of you complaining about my text. But yes, you can have wonderfully quiet days there, just don't go in the summer...

By the way: "Moin moin" is what the locals say to greet each other.
